On March 15, 2017, Steve Sota joined the CDE team as our Product Services and POS Solutions Manager. He has spent 24 years in the payments industry and was excited about the opportunity to be a part of CDE’s new endeavors and growth. As Product Services and POS Solutions Manager, Steve is responsible for boarding new products and solutions. He also leads the development and management of new processes and procedures needed to execute the solutions our partners rely on. Even in his short time at CDE, Steve has already helped a great deal in getting exciting new ventures off the ground and ensuring that the team is executing to the best of our abilities.
Steve has extensive experience in bringing new solutions to market and ensuring that customers are supported along the way. In his last position, he provided support for partners as they were integrating EMV technology into their products for the EMV liability switch. Steve explained that although the industry was in a rush to make the switch, he enjoyed being able to provide the support that partners needed in a stressful time and learning a lot along the way.
Steve has worked in several businesses, including construction and retail. After helping to build a successful payment solutions company and building many valuable relationships, Steve decided to continue growing his career in the industry. Steve shared that he has loved being in the payments industry because it is always changing and “there is something new every day.” He says that he has enjoyed being a part of growing companies throughout the years and is now excited for what is to come with CDE.
Originally from California, Steve is a lover of the outdoors. He says he enjoys spending his spare time outside, especially fishing and hunting. Steve also enjoys playing the guitar and drums, and even plays in a band. He has been married for 21 years and has three sons, ages 20, 16, and 9.
